Simple checks. I think that the best one to start with, and it's a traditional one, is to check that the dashpot, both dashpots have got oil in them. And now debate rages as to which oil to use in the dashpots of SU carburetors. We've just had one in the workshop, haven't we? [Gray-Haired Mechanic] Mm-hmm. We've come up with the conclusion that if you've got nothing else to hand, a mixture fifty-fifty of 20 w 50 oil and three in one mixed together is about the right viscosity for this. Cause if it's too thick, it won't work properly. Mm. If it's too thin, it won't work properly. No. However, I happen to have here some proper damper oil which kind of settles the argument, really. And what you want to do, is you want to make sure that the damper oil just reaches. There's a little sort of collar in there, Open it properly. There's a little collar. And just fill it, so it's just overlapping the collar.
