Welcome to Classic Car Electrics from "Skill Shack" with Practical classics. In this course, we'll cover how electricity works and how circuits work on a car, tools you'll need and how to use them, fault-finding, reading circuit diagrams and tracing circuits, a simple project, how to install auxiliary lights, and ignition wiring explained. Hello, my name's Danny Hopkins. I am editor of Practical Classics Magazine, and we are here in the Practical Classics Workshop today for another installment of "Skill Shack." With me is Ed Hughes. Now, Ed has a degree in electronic engineering, and he's spent most of his adult life restoring classic cars, so he's eminently qualified to deliver this course, which is all about classic car electrics. So, Ed, what can we expect? Well, first of all, we'll have a look at how the wiring on a car works. We'll have a look at some of the equipment you'll need and how to use it. We'll do a little bit of fault-finding technique. We'll have a look at how to install accessories. And then last but not least, we'll have a look at how the ignition system's wired, how that works, and why it sometimes doesn't. Right. That sounds fantastic, Ed. If one of those topics appeals to you, then click on the title to view the class.
